“MERLION Trainee” program. Now also for financiers
Last week MERLION declared the beginning of the annual «MERLION Trainee» program for commercial departments of the company. On February 1, for the first time in the history of “MERLION Trainee” program the company will start recruiting of trainees with further employment as a FINANCIAL MANAGER. Graduates of technical and financial and economic institutes of higher education are invited to participate in the program The one-month training in the company, living allowance during training, opportunity of professional and carrier growth, competitive wages as well as all social benefits provided for the company’s employees are awaiting the trainees. Based on the results of the one-month training in financial departments successful participants will be employed as Financial Managers of MERLION. In order to participate in the “MERLION Trainee” program you should fill in the questionnaire on MERLION internet site by March 31 and pass a number of selection measures (interview, test, business game). The candidates who have successfully passed all stages will be offered to join MERLION professionals team. Requirements to candidates and detailed terms and conditions of participation in the “MERLION Trainee” program are given on: http://www.merlion.ru/about/carrier/program2010/. *** The “MERLION Trainee” program started in 2007. Based on the results of the first three years of the program about 90% of trainees became MERLION employees. Due to the program new talented and successful employees joined our team. We asked ex-trainees who came to the company in 2009 some questions. Having passed all stages of the interview, tests and training they became some of the best sales managers of our company. The interview with them is given below. - Why did you decide to choose the sales sector for your labor activity?
Aleksandr Pachi: It is interesting, exciting, gives me moral satisfaction. Professional confidence is boosted as the negotiating presupposes communication with people and as a result conducting transactions. - Why did you decide to try the “MERLION Trainee” program? Aleksandr: I learnt about the MERLION trainee program from my friend who had participated in it. I decided to try it, too. For me the program was a good chance to get a job in a large company and to be trained before it which is of no small importance.
- How was your training going on during the trainee program?
Aleksandr: The studies included team games, lectures on marketing and principles of sales, trainings which were pleasant and fascinating to visit. - In your opinion, what does the efficiency of such program consist of for students without work experience? Aleksandr: The efficiency is obvious! During the training you can acquire important theoretical skills, necessary for sales managers (principles of sales and marketing, methods of negotiating with clients, etc.).
- A year has gone after the training. Has the year of work justified your hopes (expectations)?
Igor: I wanted to gain skills of communication with clients, learn what the IT market is. And I have succeeded in it! Ekaterina: Rather yes! I have gained an enormous experience in the sales sector during this period of time. - What future do you see for yourself in MERLION? Aleksander: Concerning the nearest future I would like to master the sales sector further and further, to become a Professional with a capital P and realize acquired skills in any commercial project of the company. And above all, such opportunity is given to all MERLION employees.
- What would you like to wish to future trainees? Aleksandr: To develop such qualities of character as tenacity and quick-mindedness towards clients. To consider opinions of senior colleagues as their experience can speed up the process of acquisition of necessary skills. |
